Jesse “The People’s Trainer” Lipscombe has been active in the health and fitness industry, in some fashion, for the past 18 years. As a professional track athlete he has the practical knowledge to understand the drive, dedication, and passion it takes to achieve any goal big or small. Ranked in the top 15 in the Commonwealth he understands what it takes to be successful. He loves to infuse his life as an entertainer into his training techniques. His life has taken him from one side of the world to the other, from the stage to the field; and, now to you. Dynamic training and pulling the athlete out of everyone one of his client’s fuels his enthusiasm, and makes each training session as exciting and new as the first. As a certified personal trainer, Jesse is qualified and ready to meet any and all of your training needs.
Lipscombe has been a member of the Canadian National Track team for 5 years, and has three national championships under his belt (2 in Canada, and one in the USA – NCAA). Lipscombe also has been provincial champion over forty times. “The People’s Trainer” can also be seen in many film and television broadcasts.

Stacey Hogbin
Partner & Training Manager
Stacey’s passion for health and fitness is contagious. She truly believes that fitness can be a part of anyone’s life, and she is committed to empowering others to live life to the fullest by adopting a healthy and fit lifestyle. Stacey also focuses on achieving balance in life between mind, body and spirit, as a balanced life is a healthy life! Once goals are set, Stacey’s top priority is to educate and motivate to ensure that those goals are met.
Stacey’s goal of empowering others with fitness does not end with her clients. She is a PTS Pro Trainer for Can-Fit-Pro, which allows her to teach and certify other fitness professionals in the industry. She is also a Master Trainer for the Canadian Bender Ball Education Team.

Daina Soon
Certified Fitness Coach (studio manager)
Daina fell in love with the idea of competition and what it takes to be a successful athlete at a young age. Her passion for fitness combined with her love of working with people is what drew her to a career as a personal trainer. Daina is still very active in many sports and believes that taking time out for yourself and the things you love to do, is the key to having a healthy balance lifestyle. She thrives on helping clients realize their goals.
Daina enjoys working with a variety of clients including weight loss, muscle building, endurance training and those who just want to use fitness to have an active, healthy lifestyle. True Success for Daina is improving her client’s quality of life.

Brandon Jacobs
Certified Fitness Coach, Personal Online Trainer, RMT
Brandon taught Physical Education for grades 1-12 for four years, but realized that his true passion was helping people to reach their health and fitness goals. He played college level volleyball and ran his own personal training business for the four years he taught. Ultimately, he strives to excel in all aspects of his life and looks forward to helping people change their lives. Life is all about relationships, and through his eclectic teaching and coaching style, he is positive he can help people reach any goals they may have. He is currently a registered massage therapist. He believes in having a great deal of balance in life, along with a healthy mind and healthy body, and is excited to share and expand his many years of experience.

Sasha Newton
Yoga Instructor
Sasha has been practicing yoga for ten years and has been teaching Ashtanga Yoga since summer 2008. After completing the required training hours and practicum she became certified with the Yoga Alliance to be recognised across Canada as an Ashtanga yoga instructor. Sasha hopes to provide instruction of yoga as a full fitness regime as well as introduce the fundamentals of yoga to add to people’s already established fitness goals. Since discovering the power that yoga has had in her life, she hopes to share the physical, mental and spiritual aspects with others.

Nolan Garriock
Certified Fitness Coach
Nolan Tyler Garriock has been around health and fitness industry 15 plus year’s. As a (NCAA) University athlete he has the knowledge to understand the dedication, passion, and heart it takes to achieve any optical’s or goals to be the best. Ranked one of the top Football athletes coming out of Alberta he knows what it take to be number 1. Nolan’s skills, hard work and upbeat attitude come out in his training. Making every session feel like a new unique experience. “Positive things happen to positive people.” Nolan has lived by this quote since the age of 10, and his success in life reflects that!
Nolan Garriock’s football career has taking him all over North America, with one National Championship. (Canada Cup) Recently he was named Defensive Backs coach for the Edmonton Wildcats, where he will instill his football knowledge and skill to young athletes to become better and give tools to be successful in life. Nolan is ready to help you in your pursuit for success.

Karim Anglin

Karim is Phat Training Inc’s resident Muay Thai kick boxing instructor. With a background in sports such as kick boxing, track, basketball, and football, it soon became clear that this former D.J.’s passion for fitness was not getting any smaller. The desire to live life to its fullest could not be suppressed. That desire has turned into a career dedicated to motivating people to push past their limits and change their lives.
Karims personal mission is to simplify the exercise process without compromising quality. As the mind must change before the body does, he will empower your mind with fun, effective, and challenging workouts to push your body to a new level.

Jocelyn Blair
Certified Fitness Coach
Jocelyn has been a physically active person for her entire life. A graduate of Bellerose High School, she went on to play volleyball for the University of Alberta Pandas for 5 years, winning a National Championship in 2007. She represented Canada at the 2007 Universiade in Bangkok, Thailand, as well as the 2009 Universiade in Belgrade, Serbia. Jocelyn’s experiences with the National volleyball program, university sport, and international competitions have provided her with great knowledge and experience to help anyone achieve their goals!
Jocelyn is a recent graduate from the University of Alberta Education Faculty, where she developed a passion for teaching sports performance and fitness, as well as coaching. Her love of physical activity, her competitive nature, and a desire to help others pointed her straight to a career in the fitness industry.
